The moment we're in — fast and safe, together
Money should move quickly and be easy to prove. Today, many banks still use older rails: lots of re-typing, cut-offs, and checks in emails or spreadsheets. That slows families, shops, and companies — and pushes some to use unregulated tools.
Artus (bank-to-be) is planned as a hybrid model: normal banking (accounts, payments, safekeeping) and — when permitted — modern on-chain tools in one controlled place. Speed and safety should live together.
"Those who dare to dream often win."
Who is building this?
Monerys AG (Swiss SPV) is coordinating the build and filing for a full Swiss banking licence. When the licence is granted, the operating bank will be Artus (bank-to-be), incorporated as Artus Bank (NewCo).
Who we help first — a clear, underserved cohort
US-Reportable Clients in Switzerland
A well-defined group of ~80k individuals living in Switzerland who need everyday banking that also handles cross-border reporting requirements.
Broader Vision
This focused starting point doesn't limit our scope—retail, commercial, and institutional needs are all part of the long-term plan (subject to licence).
How it's built — rules first, then rails
Every feature anchored to permission. Every integration by design, not desperation.
Latest-Gen Core Banking
API-first architecture with blockchain integration by design, not as an afterthought.
Enterprise Key Management
Segregation of duties and institutional-grade security protecting every access point.
Compliance-in-the-Flow
KYC/AML checks happen as work progresses—timestamped, exportable, and audit-ready.
Modular Architecture
Features enabled in controlled steps with built-in governance from day one.
What we won't do:
Turn on features before permission, skip reviews to "go faster", or hide decisions. Big steps go through milestone gates and are written in a decision log.
Why it's de-risked — preparation and independent checks
Built with transparency, oversight, and milestone-driven delivery.
Advanced Preparation
Licence dossier prepared to advanced draft; partner ecosystem identified across core workstreams.
Milestone-Gated Delivery
Budget releases tied to evidence at set points—no blank checks, no surprises.
Independent Oversight
Zurich counsel reviews on schedule, plus independent third-party audit firm checks controls and evidence.
Regulator-Determined Timing
FINMA sets the timeline. Practical planning window: ~12–15 months from submission (not guaranteed).
